An fünf Orten errichtet der Bildhauer Rolf Schaffner seine Stelen aus Naturstein: Trondheim im Norden, Santanyi im Süden, Cork im Westen und Köln in der Mitte. Verbindet man diese Orte im Geist, so entsteht ein Kreuz. Schaffner nennt diese imaginären Linien Meridiane des Friedens und initiiert mit diesem internationalen Projekt ein Nachdenken über die Zukunft unserer Erde.

In five places in Europe the sculptor Rolf Schaffner erects his steles of natural rocks: Trondheim in the North, Santanyi in the South, Cork in the West and in Cologne, being the centre. By linking these locations with imaginary lines, a cross appears. Schaffner calls these imaginary lines “meridians of peace”. With this international project he wants us to reflect on the future of our planet earth.
